The Town of Rhinebeck offers a seven week camp program, Monday through Friday, beginning in June and ending in August for children who have completed Kindergarten through 7th grade. Registration for the upcoming week closes every Friday at 7pm.  You MUST register your child before 7pm to begin camp on Monday. ***Please understand that a failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on our part.***

INCLEMENT WEATHER AND CLOSURES: In the event of a temporary storm, children will be brought to the Starr Library until weather conditions improve. Consistent rainfall and/or early morning thunderstorms may warrant camp closures to ensure the safety of the children. In the event camp closes early, the Camp Director and/or camp staff will contact parents by phone to pick up their children. If camp has not yet started for the day, you will be notified by phone by 8am that camp will be closed for the day.



All forms and documents below must be completed and received by the Health Director the Friday before your child's camp session begins. Please drop your paperwork off at the Town Pool in the large gray metal lock box above the bicycle rack, or mail your documents to Town Hall, Attention Recreation Dept., 80 East Market Street, Rhinebeck. All required documents are listed and attached below.   

Please note that no child can start camp without all of the following:
 


*Completed Medical Authorization Form (each child in a family must have his/her own form);


*A copy of the child's up to date immunization records or letter of Religious Exemption signed by a parent;


*A current (within the last 12 months) physical signed by a physician;


*Proof of Residency (utility or property tax bill);


* Signed Sunscreen/Insect Repellent Permission Form; and


*A Signed Library Authorization Form.


Paperwork must be submitted prior to camp and will NOT be accepted at the start of camp on Monday. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you.


Please do not drop your child off before 8:45am and pick your child up on time. If your child is scheduled for day camp only (i.e., no After Camp from 4:00-6:00pm), you must pick your child up no later than 4:00pm or you will be charged for After Camp.

*IMPORTANT: The Town of Rhinebeck does NOT issue refunds, so please be sure of your dates before signing your child up for any Town activity.

General Information
  • To be accepted, all paperwork must be submitted prior to child attending. This includes current immunization records signed by a physician, a physical within the last 12 months, a completed medical authorization form, and a tax bill or utility bill with street address or other proof of address. *The authorization form, sunscreen/insect repellent form, Starr Library permission slip, and immunization requirements can be downloaded using the links below.
  • Required paperwork must be received the Thursday before your child begins camp.
  • Payment in full must be received before your child's camp begins (weekly sessions).
  • There are Resident and Non-Resident fees.
  • Drop-off is no earlier than 8:45am and pick up is promptly at 4pm (6pm for After Camp).
